Poland has halted arms supplies to Ukraine because it needs the weaponry for its own military, which is being equipped with the most advanced weapons available. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki made this statement in an interview with Polsat, published on September 20.

"If you intend to defend yourself, you must have something to defend with. That's the principle we adhere to, so we've placed maximum orders", - Morawiecki noted.

When asked if Poland will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, he said that Poland is currently not supplying any domestically produced weapons to Ukraine because they are now arming themselves with the most modern weaponry.

However, Morawiecki emphasized that Poland will not compromise Ukraine's security, and the transfer of weapons from other allies continues without interruption.

"Our hub in Rzeszów, in coordination with the Americans and NATO, continues to operate as before and will continue to operate in the future", - he assured.

Morawiecki also mentioned in the interview that he asked the Ukrainian authorities to refrain from sharp rhetoric regarding grain disputes, as it plays into the hands of the kremlin.

"You can see how russian trolls have picked up on this issue", - he added.

Previously, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated that his country is ready to continue assisting Ukraine but not at the cost of its own market.
