Russian military will conduct exercises aimed at practicing "the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons". This was announced on May 6 by the russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by the Telegram channel "The Moscow Times".
The exercises will take place "in the near future" at the direction of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the russian federation, stated the military department of the aggressor country.
Rocket units of the Southern Military District, aviation, and naval forces will participate in the exercises. Their goal is to "enhance the readiness of non-strategic nuclear forces to perform combat tasks" as well as to "practically work on issues related to the preparation and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons", emphasized the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor.
The exercises, according to the department, are conducted "in response to provocative statements and threats from certain Western officials", as well as to "unconditionally ensure the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Russian state".
