The U.S. State Department welcomes the "aggressive measures" that Ukraine is taking in its fight against corruption. The State Department emphasized the need to continue these efforts. This was reported by Ukrinform, citing a briefing by spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller on October 2nd.
"We have seen Ukraine taking aggressive measures, including aggressive measures over the past few weeks to combat corruption, and we welcome their continued steps in this direction", - noted Miller.
He also highlighted the importance of Ukraine demonstrating results in this sphere and building a resilient economy capable of supporting its security apparatus and countering russian aggression, as Ukraine will always remain russia's neighbor.
As previously reported, the U.S. State Department assured that American weapons for Ukraine are going into the right hands.
