The Security Service of Ukraine has sent a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the prohibition of entry to Ukraine for the French presidential candidate, the leader of the National Front party, Marine Le Pen. This was stated by the SBU secretary general, Oleksandr Tkachuk, - 112 Ukraine reports.
"The SBU sent a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 3. I think that a positive response will be, perhaps, even today and our initiative that it is necessary to ban the entry to the territory of our state for Ms Le Pen will be supported",- O.Tkachuk stated.
Le Pen's remarks about Crimea must entail consequences, he said, adding the politician is not a representative of France's official authorities.
"Unfortunately, this is not the first time that foreign politicians appeal to certain actions or statements that, in our opinion, are at odds with the interests of our state", - O.Tkachuk stressed.
Earlier, the French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen said the annexation of the Crimea by Russia "was not illegal".
