An attack on Oleg Tsaryov, a former member of the Ukrainian parliament and the self-proclaimed "speaker of the Novorossiya parliament", occurred in the occupied city of Yalta in Crimea. Russian media outlets report this, citing a representative of the "authorities" in the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia oblast, Vladimir Rogov.
Rogov stated that Tsaryov was shot near his home. Another source of information, the journalist-turned-traitor Alexander Chalenko, also mentioned that Tsarev had been attacked with a knife.
"Oleg's condition is very serious. At the moment, he is in the intensive care unit. There were no stab wounds. Oleg was shot", - wrote Rogov.
Tsaryov maintained a Telegram channel, and later a message appeared there, confirming the information about the assassination attempt on him, according to his family. Tsaryov was shot twice and was transported by ambulance, unconscious and with significant blood loss, as stated in the post.
It's worth noting that Tsarev was a member of the Ukrainian parliament for several terms and the deputy head of the "Party of Regions" faction. In 2014, he openly identified as a pro-russian separatist and assumed the position of "Novorossiya's speaker".
