Russian forces have damaged one of Ukraine's thermal power plants during a shelling. This was reported by commercial energy operator DTEK's press service on October 23rd.
"The enemy continues to carry out terrorist attacks on civil and energy facilities in Ukraine. Last night, on October 22nd, one of DTEK's thermal power plants was affected due to shelling", - the statement says.
It is noted that there were no casualties as a result of the shelling. However, the plant's equipment suffered significant damage.
"After the cessation of shelling, energy specialists began to address the aftermath", - the company added.
It was previously reported that the occupiers targeted an infrastructure facility in the Donetsk oblast.
