At least two people have died as a result of a missile strike by russian forces on Zaporizhzhia, which partially destroyed a multi-story building in the city center. This was reported by the Oblast Military Administration's press service on Telegram.
"Today, during the period from 01:33 a.m. to 01:48 a.m., russian terrorist forces carried out six missile strikes on the territory of the city of Zaporizhzhia. One of the strikes hit a multi-story building in the central part of the city", - the statement said.
As specified by Anatolii Kurtiev, the Secretary of Zaporizhzhia City Council, apartments in two entrances of the building have been partially destroyed due to the missile strike.
"Search and rescue operations are ongoing at the site of the terrorist attack by the russians. At present, two fatalities and four injuries are known. Three more individuals are considered missing", - he wrote.
Residents of the building have been evacuated to a safe location and are receiving psychological and other assistance.
"People continue to receive assistance in communal buses, at the city council's tent, and at the nearest Point of Invincibility", - Kurtiev added.
