The United States will be able to simultaneously provide military assistance to both Ukraine and Israel, according to Lloyd Austin, the Secretary of Defense. This statement was made by the U.S. Department of Defense's press service.
"We can and will stand by Israel, even as we stand by Ukraine. The United States can walk and chew gum at the same time", - he stated.
He also expressed concern about the escalating acts of terrorism by Hamas.
Austin further mentioned that, in response to terrorist attacks from the Gaza Strip, the United States has moved naval and aviation assets to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf region to enhance deterrence.
"Nobody should try to take advantage of this vile Hamas assault to cause more bloodshed or instability", - he added.
As previously reported, the United States will assist Ukraine in building its air forces.
