The number of Ukrainian fatalities in Israel has risen to seven, with nine citizens sustaining injuries of varying degrees. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, on his Facebook page on October 12.
"Consuls have established their personal information, maintain contact with relatives, and are taking measures to repatriate the bodies", - Nikolenko wrote.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also mentioned that nine more Ukrainian citizens are considered missing.
"The Ukrainian Embassy is collaborating with Israeli security services in the context of searching for the missing individuals", - he added.
Oleh Nikolenko noted that around 200 Ukrainians have expressed their desire to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip; however, due to the lack of security, departure is currently impossible.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ukrainian embassies in Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and other relevant Ukrainian agencies are making active efforts to bring our people back as soon as possible", - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson emphasized.
Previously it was reported that the evacuation of Ukrainians from Israel will commence on October 14. Approximately one thousand people have sought assistance.
