The Ukrainian Navy has confirmed that the russian ship "Pavel Derzhavin" was damaged near Sevastopol the day before. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Captain 3rd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk, in an interview with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty on October 12.
"You are the first to whom I officially confirm this today, that it sustained damage. I cannot provide you with any information about the circumstances of this incident, let's call it that, but the fact remains", - Pletenchuk noted.
It is worth recalling that there were reports of the patrol ship of the russian Black Sea Fleet being damaged by a russian mine in the outer waters of Sevastopol.
