Fighters from the 47th Brigade entered the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia oblast and organized the evacuation of residents using Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs). Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar reported this on Telegram on August 22.
"The soldiers of the 47th Brigade, who entered the village of Robotyne in combat, organized the evacuation of civilians using the Bradley IFVs", - she noted.
According to Maliar, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are carrying out planned combat operations and are successfully eliminating the enemy. In response, the russians are continuously shelling Robotyne with artillery fire. The fighting continues.
The soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade shared a video showing their entry into the village on the Melitopol direction.
"After two months of fierce fighting, our brigade's fighters, with the support of other units, have broken through the multi-layered defense line of the occupiers! The first thing the servicemen did was inform the locals of the urgent need to leave since the enemy is cynically continuing to erase the village from the face of the earth", - the message said.
It is noted that in a safer location, medical personnel examined civilians and provided them the opportunity to contact their relatives.
As previously reported, Ukrainian military forces achieved success southeast of the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia oblast, where intense battles were taking place.
