“Last night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine deliberately did not attack a single energy facility on russian territory”, - President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with Fox News on October 12.
According to him, this decision was made in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's statement that Kyiv and moscow had supposedly agreed to an energy ceasefire.
Zelensky emphasized that russia, for its part, completely ignored “Trump's ceasefire” and continued its massive attacks on Ukraine, striking gas stations, combined heat and power plants, and other energy facilities.
He stressed that the continuation of the aggression was a “very clear signal” and a direct response from putin to the U.S. president, confirming the kremlin's unwillingness to abide by any agreements. In this regard, Volodymyr Zelensky noted, Kyiv insists that international pressure on russia must be intensified immediately.
