Powerful explosions were reported in the occupied Crimea on August 2nd, in the vicinity of the settlement of Hvardiyske, where the russian airbase is located. This information was reported by Crimea.Realities and local Telegram channels.
Public sources mention the sounds of strong explosions near Hvardiyske (the Simferopol oblast) and note that a "plume" is visible in the air above the settlement. The airbase operates under the russian Aerospace Forces. According to Crimea.Realities publication, it is the base for the 37th Mixed Aviation Regiment of the RAF.
Additionally, reports indicate the activity of air defense systems in the settlement of Novofedorivka, of the Saksky district, where another military airbase of the occupiers is located.
Moreover, it was reported that due to the explosions, traffic on the Kerch Strait Bridge was temporarily suspended. However, according to monitoring channels, the traffic on the crossing has now been restored.
The occupying "authorities" have not yet commented on the explosions on the peninsula.
