Russia refused officially to extradite ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. It was announced by Head of the Special Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office Sergey Gorbatyuk at the briefing today, - reports the correspondent of OstroV.
"Carrying out investigation on the territory of the Russian Federation until recently was impossible because we received no reply to any of our requests. Today we received a reply on the refusal to extradite, so we will have to raise the question how to interrogate him on the territory of the Russian Federation but I emphasize that it is possible only in a legal way with the participation of law enforcement agencies of the state," - he said.
He added that today Yanukovych was charged with suspicions of 7 criminal proceedings.
