An unknown person threatens to detonate a bomb in a bank located in the Kyiv business center Leonardo. This was reported by Deputy Interior Minister Anton Herashchenko on Facebook.
According to him, a representative of AO Universal Bank (the Shevchenkivskyi district, premises of the Leonardo business center) called the police today at 12.00 and informed that an unknown man under 35 years old had entered the office, said that he had a bomb in his backpack and asked to call the police.
Employees of the banking institution left the premises, and head of the branch stayed of her own free will.
The special police operation "Thunder" was launched.
"The police representatives began negotiations with the terrorist and offered him to surrender", - Anton Herashchenko noted.
Citizens and city visitors were asked to change their routes and bypass the area of intersection of the Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Volodymyrska streets for their own safety.
