The Ministry of Health reports that the People's Deputy of Ukraine is among the 14 officially recorded cases of COVID-19. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
"All the necessary procedures and an epidemiological investigation are being carried out. He is provided with outpatient therapy under the conditions of self-isolation. According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization, patients with the coronavirus infection in mild form can be treated outpatiently. If necessary, the patient will be hospitalized", - the Ministry of Health notes.
Medical workers will carry out all the necessary work with people who have contacted him.
"The People's Deputy of Ukraine was absent at the meeting of the Coordination Board of the deputy fractions on March 16 and at the extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on March 17, 2020", - the statement said.
The surname of the people's deputy is not indicated in the Ministry of Health, however, TSN reports that this is Serhii Shakhov. A 44-year-old Ukrainian MP elected from the 114th district, member of the Trust group admitted that he had picked up a coronavirus.
"I am isolated today, I am engaged in disinfection, I have not contacted people. The temperature has dropped, I feel OK, I hope everything will be fine. I do not know why there was such a panic around it. I received a call from the clinic today and was said that most likely, you coronavirus diagnosis had been confirmed", - Shakhov said.
