Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy is convinced that the bill on the Donbass reintegration will be put to a vote in the second reading in January 2018. He said this at a meeting of the parliament today, - OstroV correspondent reports.
"I am convinced that for all of us, the adoption of a law that recognizes Russia as an occupier is fundamental and important for the Ukrainian parliament. The parliament has always held a committed and categorical position on this issue, and I am convinced that we will start next plenary week, if I am not mistaken, it will be January 16, with consideration of the law on de-occupation, on recognizing Russia as an aggressor", - he reported.
Earlier, vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Herashchenko appealed to the people's deputies with a request to postpone the adoption of bill on the Donbass reintegration until the end of process of prisoners' exchange. At the same time, People's Front called to vote for it this Thursday.
