PJSC Ukrtelecom reported on the forced termination of work from March 1, 2017 on the uncontrolled part of the Donetsk oblast due to interference of unidentified persons and the office seizure by militants. It was reported by the press service of the company.
It notes that the operator has lost the ability to centrally manage the technical equipment in the uncontrolled territory of Donetsk oblast and thus, local network was operatively disconnected from the national network. The provision of telephone services and access to the Internet was terminated for almost 200 thousand people.
Ukrtelecom reported to the National commission for the state regulation of communications and informatization, the relevant law enforcement authorities and other operators about this situation.
