A tanker carrying petroleum products is on fire in the waters off Sochi, at a considerable distance from the shore, russian media outlets report, citing eyewitness posts on social media.
A large blaze and smoke are reported on the horizon. Eyewitnesses describe how the flames quickly engulfed the tanker and then, apparently, the fire "spread" across the surface of the water around the vessel. The scale of the fire is currently assessed as significant.
