“All services are currently working at the site of the russian airstrike in Sumy. Four KAB bombs struck the city center, directly hitting a school building where classes were being held. I thank the teachers and the school administration: the children and teachers were in the shelter, and all 100 people were evacuated in time”, - President Zelensky reported on social media on the afternoon of September 29.
According to him, damage was also reported in the private residential area. Unfortunately, two people are known to have been killed so far. “My condolences to their families and loved ones. Six people were injured, including three children”, - Zelensky stated.
“Russian terrorists and just complete scum. This is how they strike children, schools, and ordinary homes. America, Europe, and all our partners must remember that russia will not stop this madness without real pressure. We expect retaliatory measures to be taken in response to these strikes and not to be limited to words alone”, - the President emphasized.
