“Ukraine needs more people, not more weapons. It has enough weapons, so we do not plan to supply the Ukrainian army with additional batches of weapons”, - Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov said at a press conference in Sofia on June 9. He was quoted by the independent Bulgarian publication The Sofia Globe.

According to Stoyanov, Bulgaria does not plan to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine in the future.

In the Bulgarian minister’s view, the war cannot be resolved on the battlefield, and the sides should move to negotiations.

“We are seeing a positional war, and no matter how much weaponry is accumulated, the only thing being achieved is the loss of human lives”, - Stoyanov noted.
