On April 23, the EU Council, through a written procedure, approved amendments to the EU’s long-term budget for 2021–27, which will allow Ukraine to receive a €90 billion loan in 2026–27, as well as the EU’s 20th package of sanctions against russia. This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda.
As noted, on the morning of April 23, the EU Council completed the written procedure for adopting the €90 billion loan for Ukraine and the 20th package of EU sanctions against russia.
The amendments to the EU’s long-term financial framework removed the final legal obstacle to providing Ukraine with a €90 billion loan over the current and next years.
