The russian army has almost completely captured Myrnohrad in the Donetsk oblast and has fully deployed its artillery and infrastructure for UAV operators there. Despite this, Ukrainian forces continue to hold positions on the northern outskirts of the city. This was reported by sources of Ukrainska Pravda among the military on the Pokrovsk direction.
“The enemy moves freely around the city — not only in the south, but also in the center and in the north. It has deployed infrastructure for its pilots, who operate both in the north of Myrnohrad and beyond. They have numerous launch points. At the same time, they are accumulating artillery. In several areas, there are even signs of command posts, communication systems and electronic warfare assets are deployed. We can no longer operate against the enemy in the south of Myrnohrad”, - the publication quotes its sources.
According to the data provided to UP, further holding of positions in the north of Myrnohrad is “not advisable”. The military personnel who remain on the outskirts of the city need to be withdrawn.
All approaches to the city are within the strike zone. In the area of Svitne and Rivne — two villages between Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad — a “pocket” has long been formed.
