“With the change in weather conditions, the enemy has intensified offensive actions and is conducting them along almost the entire length of the 1,200 km combat line. The hottest areas during the month were the Oleksandrivske, Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Lyman directions. We must seize the strategic initiative, therefore we are conducting active defense. Thanks to this, in March our troops regained control of nearly 50 sq km of territory that had been occupied by the enemy”, - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on Telegram on April 15.
“We counter russian numbers with Ukrainian quality of warfare, forcing the enemy to play by our rules and constantly shift the timelines for completing tasks. In order to reduce the enemy’s offensive capabilities, we maintain a high intensity of strikes against military, defense-industrial, and other facilities on the territory of russia that support the occupiers’ actions. In March, 76 such targets were hit using Deep Strike means, including 15 oil refining industry facilities”, - Syrskyi noted.
He also reported that he heard reports on the state of mobilization and recruitment, logistical support, the fortification of defensive lines, training and restoration of combat capability of units, and maintaining law and order in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“In the context of the report, the Support Forces Command emphasized intensifying work on the construction of engineering barriers and fortifications. It is precisely where fortifications are prepared in advance and properly that we can hold the defense for a long time, protect Ukrainian defenders, and destroy more occupiers. A new solution in the conditions of modern ‘drone warfare’ is the construction of sunken routes for the movement of military equipment and personnel. The Air Assault Forces demonstrate how this should be done. Tasks for the next period have been set”, - Syrskyi also noted.
