On January 24, the Prime Ministers of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, and of Slovakia, Robert Fico, signed a joint statement on bilateral relations based on mutual trust and respect. Ukrainian Prime Minister announced this in his Telegram channel on January 24.

"At the conclusion of the meeting with Prime Minister Robert Fico of Slovakia, we signed a joint statement that will strengthen our bilateral relations based on mutual trust and respect", - Shmyhal noted.

He detailed that through this statement, they:

·Reaffirmed readiness for further cooperation aimed at respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

·Acknowledged Slovakia's firm and consistent support for Ukraine's European integration.

·Expressed support for the Peace Formula of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

·Emphasized the importance of Slovakia's participation in Ukraine's recovery, including the appointment of a Deputy Prime Minister for the recovery, stability, and knowledge economy of the Slovak Republic.

·Confirmed the importance of Slovakia's participation in humanitarian demining in Ukraine.

·Recognized the importance of joint efforts to ensure global food security and enhance transit potential for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

·Underlined the importance of developing military-technical cooperation on a commercial basis.

It was previously reported that Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced Slovakia's support for allocating €50 billion to Ukraine from the EU.

Earlier Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico stated that there is "no war" in Kyiv and that life there is "absolutely normal".
