Occupiers launched missile strikes on Kharkiv after 9:30 p.m., and the number of wounded has increased to 16. This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov, the head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration Oleh Synehubov, and a source from OstroV – a local resident.
"Kharkiv is under missile attack. Explosions are heard in the city. Be cautious", - wrote Terekhov at 9:43 p.m.
"The occupiers are launching strikes. Residents of Kharkiv and the region: take cover!" - wrote Synehubov.
OstroV’s source reported two powerful explosions as of 9:45 p.m.
Monitoring channels stated that there was a continued threat of additional strikes.
"The launch of 2 S-300 missiles on Kharkiv has taken place", - wrote the Telegram channel "Air Raid Map. Explosions. Missiles".
"Strikes on the city center. Specifically, where there is no military infrastructure and where residential buildings are located. The State Emergency Service is already working at the sites of the landings. There is information about the wounded", - reported Terekhov later.
"The occupiers launched strikes on Kharkiv with two missiles. Preliminarily with S-300. There is damage to civilian residential infrastructure. At this moment, medics are providing assistance to four victims, their condition is light", - clarified Synehubov at 10:06 p.m.
Later, he reported that the number of wounded had increased to 11.
"The occupiers struck at residential infrastructure in the center of Kharkiv, damaging multi-story buildings. A 43-year-old woman has been hospitalized in critical condition. Another ten people are in mild and moderate conditions", - the message stated.
Subsequently, Synehubov reported 16 casualties, with two women in critical condition.
Emergency services continue to inspect the locations of the impacts.
Earlier, it was reported that about 20 settlements in the Kharkiv oblast were subjected to enemy strikes within a day, resulting in the destruction of a school and a club.
