In Pokrovsk, the Donetsk oblast, as a result of the shelling by the russian army on January 6th, rescuers found the body of a man at the site of a destroyed house. The State Emergency Service (SES) press service reported this on January 7th.

"As of 3:00 p.m. on January 7th, at the site of two private residential houses destroyed as a result of shelling, the bodies of 2 people have been found, 1 man has been rescued, emergency rescue operations are continuing to search for 3 people, including 2 children. Currently, rescuers have dismantled 62 tons of destroyed house elements. The collection of body fragments for further identification of the deceased is underway", - the statement said.

The rescuers also reminded that in the village of Rivne in the Pokrovsk district, the body of a child born in 2020 was found.

Emergency rescue operations are ongoing at the site of the destroyed house to search for 5 people, including 2 children; 40 tons of destroyed house elements have been dismantled. The identification of the found body fragments is being carried out.

It is noted that a UAV detachment has been involved in the shelling site. A psychologist from the SES is providing psychological assistance to the affected individuals.
