As a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on Crimea on January 4, 23 occupiers were eliminated, and elements of air defense and electronic warfare were destroyed, with local collaborators expressing concern about the strengthening of air defense on the occupied peninsula. This was reported by russian propaganda media on January 5, citing the russian General Staff and Ministry of Defense.

"A missile strike on Crimea. Unfortunately, 23 military personnel were killed. We have clarified with seven sources in the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense what actually happened in Crimea on Thursday, January 4. We provide you with information that we have managed to confirm and verify", - write russian propagandists.

According to their version, on Thursday evening, "...the Ukrainian army launched 10 missiles at Crimea. Seven of them were shot down, three hit the target". It is noted that military facilities in the Saksky district and near Sevastopol were affected.

"At two facilities, 23 military personnel were killed, five of them were high-ranking officers. Among the deceased, at least 9 special forces soldiers. Several elements of air defense and electronic warfare were also lost. Sources in the army warn that these strikes may be followed by new attempts to attack the military infrastructure of the peninsula (they have already occurred), considering that its air defense is now weakened", - the message also states.

It is emphasized that occupation forces and the "head" of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, and "governor of Sevastopol", Mikhail Razvozhaev, urgently requested moscow to strengthen the air defense of the occupied peninsula.

Earlier, it was reported that explosions began to occur simultaneously in several settlements in the occupied Crimea around 4:00 p.m. on January 4.
