The German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, has promised that her country will stand by the people of Ukraine "until life without fear and terror becomes possible". This was reported by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
"With every rocket, putin shows that he wants to destroy Ukraine. The air defense systems we supply, Patriot and IRIS-T, save human lives every day. We will stand by the people of Ukraine as long as they need us, and until life without fear and terror becomes possible", - wrote Annalena Baerbock on social media, commenting on the russian strikes in Ukraine on January 2.
The message recalls that in November 2023, it became known that Germany had provided Ukraine with five IRIS-T air defense systems capable of defending against russian cruise missiles such as Kalibr. At least two more such systems are planned to be delivered this year.
