Russia has sharply reduced the number of airstrikes in the Donetsk oblast after losing four Su-34 bombers at the end of December 2023. Oleksandr Shtupun, the spokesperson for the Tavria Defense Forces, made this announcement in an interview with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

"After losing four Su-34 bomber-fighters, for the past two days, the enemy in the Donetsk oblast, in the operational zone of the Tavria forces, has been using only Su-25 ground attack aircraft and Ka-52 attack helicopters for airstrikes. In other words, the number of airstrikes has significantly decreased. While before, there were 15, 17, up to 20 airstrikes per day, now, for example, the day before yesterday, there were three airstrikes, and yesterday there were seven", - stated Shtupun.

It is worth noting that as a result of russian shelling in the Donetsk oblast on December 27, two civilians in Avdiivka and Pereizdne received injuries.

As reported, on December 27, Ukrainian aviation struck 10 areas where russian personnel were concentrated.
