The parliamentary committee in Turkey has approved Sweden's accession to NATO. This information comes from the Telegram channel "DW Glavnoe".
It is noted that the draft law has now been submitted for consideration to the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament. Ankara had previously rejected Sweden's application to join the alliance, seeking a tougher stance from Stockholm on Kurdish migrants, whom Turkey considers terrorists. However, in the fall, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan changed his decision and submitted Sweden's application to the parliament for consideration, putting his signature on the document.
As reported, Sweden is providing Ukraine with $120 million, the majority of which will go to the World Bank fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
