Shoigu emphasized that by continuing military actions in Ukraine and expanding the army, russia can achieve socio-economic development. According to the Telegram channel "The Moscow Times", the head of the russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, made this statement during a briefing with the leadership of the russian armed forces.

He reported that the army is currently "constantly gaining more advantageous positions and expanding the territories under control" in Ukraine.

"We are consistently moving towards achieving the stated goals of the special operation. In the current situation, the Ministry of Defense continues planned activities to build strong, reliable, well-equipped, motivated Armed Forces. Only in this way can we ensure the peaceful socio-economic development of our country", - stated Shoigu.

However, Shoigu did not clarify what he specifically refers to as "more advantageous positions" and where exactly the russian army is "expanding controlled territories".

As previously reported, Shoigu briefed putin on the capture of the Ukrainian town of Marinka, or more precisely, the ruins that remain from it.
