The National Police of Ukraine reported on the morning of April 18 that the search and rescue operation at the site of the enemy attack, which occurred on April 17, has been completed.

"As of the morning of April 18, we already know about 18 fatalities, with 78 people injured, including 4 children. Investigators and forensic experts are conducting house-to-house inspections, documenting the consequences of enemy strikes", - the statement said.

It is noted that over 300 statements have been received by the police within a day from Chernihiv residents whose premises and property were damaged or destroyed as a result of the russian strike.

"At the established mobile stations, work with the injured includes collecting statements and interviewing the victims. Investigative and operational groups have conducted 304 inspections of damaged apartments and buildings, as well as 62 vehicles", - the police stated.

Additionally, points for receiving statements from the injured are operating in the building of the Chernihiv District Police Department and in a deployed police tent located in the park behind the building of Chernihiv Polytechnic University.
