As a result of the russian "liberation" of Mariupol, 52,000 families are left without shelter. This information comes from LIGA.net, citing the city's lawful mayor, Vadym Boychenko.

According to him, "In Mariupol, out of 2000 high-rise buildings, 934 homes no longer exist: they were destroyed by russian aviation. In total, 50% of the city no longer exists, and the other half is damaged: at the moment, 52,000 families from Mariupol are left homeless". Boychenko estimated this to be 150-200 thousand people, which is half of Mariupol's pre-war population.

"They have already demolished almost 600 houses, concealing crimes. In the private sector, 6000 houses have been destroyed. Additionally, 70% of hospitals, 50% of schools, and kindergartens have been destroyed", - the mayor said.

He refuted the statements of the occupation officials about the almost complete revival of the port city. "The russians have only provided housing for 3000 people. This is not much. When they show a house in the field, they are afraid to turn the camera left or right", - he noted.

As previously reported, as a result of russian aggression, almost the entire residential housing stock in Mariupol was destroyed. Before February 22, 2022, the city had 2,327 multi-storey residential buildings. Of these, only 261 high-rise buildings survived, and 517 multi-storey buildings are not subject to restoration. As for private houses, it's even worse - out of 49,343 houses, only 11 thousand survived. Meanwhile, the gauleiter of occupied Mariupol personally controls the allocation of housing to "valuable specialists" who have arrived from the aggressor country.
