As of November 2, Iran will head the United Nations Human Rights Council, according to the Council's announcement.

Commenting on this decision, the Defense Minister of the Czech Republic, Jana Černochová, stated, "The ink on the UN Charter must melt".

"This is not a glitch, this is UN policy", - she wrote on her Twitter account.

The minister reminded that "the Iranian regime sponsored the killings of Israelis by Hamas terrorists, is responsible for the increasing number of executions in the country, oppresses women and girls, and is accountable for the recent death of 16-year-old Armita, who died after an attack by the Iranian morality police for not wearing the mandatory hijab".

"And now, this regime will be teaching us how to uphold human rights in the UN Council from Thursday. Congratulations. The ink on the UN Charter must melt", - wrote Černochová in dismay.
