At the site of the historical landmark - the Clock House - occupiers plan to construct modern housing, with apartments to be sold. Visualization of the future building was published in local media.
The Clock House is a landmark of Mariupol, built in the 1950s in the style of the so-called "Stalinist architecture".
Russian occupiers have practically completely destroyed it, and the ruins were dismantled.
Initially, the occupiers promised to restore the historical house to its former state, but then decided to build a "modern-style" building in its place. Apartments in it will be sold at the highest price, as it is located in the central part of the city. Previous residents will be resettled in so-called "compensatory housing" on the outskirts of Mariupol.
