The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has rejected russia's accusations of involvement in the anti-Semitic disturbances at the Makhachkala airport. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, on Facebook.

The diplomat emphasized that the events in Makhachkala reflect deeply rooted anti-Semitism within russian elites and society. The threats against Jews are a consequence of the work of russian state propaganda, which has cultivated a sense of hatred among russians toward other nations for decades. Nikolenko also recalled that not long ago, president putin and foreign minister Lavrov made offensive anti-Semitic statements.

"The accusations by the russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs against Ukraine regarding the events in Dagestan are an attempt to shift responsibility", - stated the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He expressed the belief that the international community should decisively respond to manifestations of racial hatred in russia and anywhere in the world.

It's worth noting that on the evening of October 29, an anti-Semitic incident took place at the airport in Makhachkala, russia. An enraged crowd, upon the arrival of a plane from Israel, invaded the terminal in search of Jews and breached the runway.

As reported, amidst the mass disturbances at the Makhachkala airport, the head of Dagestan accused certain "pro-Ukrainian" forces.
