More than 530 units of firearms are currently being sent to Ukraine from the U.S., including rifles and pistols. This was announced on Facebook by Ukrainian Member of Parliament Marian Zablotsky.

"The city of Phoenix, Arizona, joined our Ukrainian Arsenal of Liberty program after a donation from Miami. This time, the collection is more interesting: 386 9mm pistols, 58 5.56mm rifles, and 29 7.62mm rifles. To this, we added 58 shotguns. This type of weapon was specifically requested because it is easier to use against small drones. All of this is within the framework of programs where we reach out to police departments in U.S. cities to donate to our National Police. The third batch is already on its way, consisting of brand new AR-15s that will be handed over to the private ownership of citizens who are members of the Irpin Community Territorial Defense. Some rifles will specifically go to women who have survived the occupation", - the MP stated.

According to him, the process was not easy, as certain representatives from districts with a significant presence of ethnic russians were deeply offended and did everything to stop this program.

"It's not surprising at all. But, thanks to top-notch logistics from Marco Gruelle, they didn't succeed. In the United States, approximately $130 billion is spent annually on law enforcement. They have tons of excellent surplus equipment in their warehouses that can be utilized when continuing an active advocacy campaign. With these weapon deliveries, we've broken through the logistical and legal mechanism of implementation, which can now be scaled. For me, that was the main task", - he noted.
