Russia has already lost between 109 to 200 items of military equipment near Avdiivka, according to satellite imagery, as reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

A Ukrainian reserve officer noted that the majority of russian losses primarily consist of combat armored vehicles, such as BMP-1, BMP-2, and MT-LB; tanks like T-72, T-64, T-80; armored personnel carriers and other transport vehicles.

He also stated that the losses of russian equipment around Avdiivka exceeded their losses during an unsuccessful crossing of the Siverisky Donets River in May 2022 and are likely to surpass their losses in the area of Avdiivka from November 2022 to April 2023.

The numbers may continue to increase as about a dozen vehicles were not included in the list of losses due to image discrepancies.

Two other independent sources estimate that russian forces have lost approximately 200 military vehicles near Avdiivka.

It is worth noting that, as reported, on October 16, military analyst Julian Röpcke claimed that the occupiers had already lost more than 60 tanks and APCs in their attempt to capture Avdiivka.
