Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz has promised Ukraine a "shield" against russian attacks on its energy and thermal infrastructure. He made this statement while speaking at the German-Ukrainian Business Forum, as reported by the Telegram channel "DW Glavnoe".

According to Scholz, the new "winter package" of German aid, worth 1.4 billion euros, includes another Patriot air defense system, IRIS-T missile launchers, and several self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicles Gepard with ammunition.

"Every undamaged factory, every preserved power transmission line, and every production facility that continues to operate help to economically stabilize Ukraine", - emphasized Scholz.

He also called on German companies to invest in Ukraine, describing it as a "future member of the European Union that will become part of our legal community and our internal market".

It was previously reported that Scholz called for support for Ukraine as a "future EU member".
