British Ambassador Martin Harris visited the units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine responsible for guarding the border in the Chernihivoblast. This was reported by the SBGS on Telegram.
Major General Serhiy Deineko, the head of the SBGS, briefed Mr. Martin Harris on the situation on the border with russia and Belarus, as well as the measures taken by the border agency to protect and defend the state border.
Serhiy Deineko expressed gratitude to the government of the United Kingdom for their assistance in strengthening the capabilities of the border agency.
Martin Harris acknowledged the contribution of the border guards in the fight against the aggressor.
"You are not only defending the borders of your country, but you are also defending all of Europe. You are safeguarding the principles of international peace and international law. Your service is an inspiration to us" - the ambassador emphasized.
