The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), in cooperation with the Ukrainian Navy, conducted a significant strike on the military airfield Saky in occupied Crimea overnight. RBC-Ukraine reported this on September 21, citing its own sources.

"There were at least 12 combat aircraft (Su-24 and Su-30) at the airfield, as well as the Pantsir air defense missile system. Also, there was a base for training operators of the Mojaher UAVs. It is these drones that the russians use for coordinating their own air attacks and as combat UAVs", - the sources noted.

According to the information from the publication's sources, the strikes by the Security Service and the Navy successfully hit their target, causing significant damage to the occupiers' equipment. Drones were used to neutralize russian air defense systems, followed by the launch of Neptune missiles.

As previously reported, the russian Ministry of Defense "downed" 22 UAVs overnight.
