On the night of March 2, the russians shelled Zaporizhzhia. As a result, a multi-story residential building was destroyed, two people were killed. Anatolii Kurtiev, secretary of Zaporizhzhia City Council, reported this on Telegram.
As a result of enemy shelling, the 5-storey building was almost completely destroyed, leaving people under the rubble. According to preliminary information, two people died.
Kurtiev said that full details of the consequences of the attack are still being established.
The Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration reported that three floors of a residential building were destroyed as a result of a missile attack. The administration noted that information about the victims is being specified, all relevant services are working on the spot. Later they added that "the enemy launched a missile attack (probably S-300) on a city residential building. The missile destroyed three floors".
The State Emergency Service reported that as of 06:30, 11 people were rescued (including a pregnant woman) at the site of the missile attack and 20 residents were evacuated from a neighboring entrance to the building. The bodies of two people were recovered from the rubble.
As reported, the occupiers launched 14 missile and 21 air strikes on Ukraine on March 1.
