Fourteen miners of the Kapitalna coal mine of the Myrnohradvuhillia state-owned enterprise have refused to ascent in the night of February 4 and demand payment of wage arrears. This was announced by chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine Mykhailo Volynets on his Facebook.

"Having finished the second shift, seven miners of the Kapitalna coal mine of the Myrnohradvuhillia state-owned enterprise (Donetsk oblast) refused to ascent. The enterprise reports that another seven miners of the third shift joined the protest. Thus, as of 00.00, there are 14 people underground in the face", - Mykhailo Volynets wrote.

According to him, the second shift miners left the house at 11 a.m. on February 3, they have been in the mine for more than 12 hours without taking any food.

The main requirements of the Kapitalna miners are payment of wage arrears and ensuring the full operation of the enterprise.

The back payments on salaries to employees of the Myrnohradvuhillia state-owned enterprise, accumulated over 3 months, reaches $3.7 as of February 1.
