Employees of the Kotliarevska mine of the Selidovugol state-owned enterprise continue their protest against non-payment of wages, in terms of which from October 3, they block the Pokrovsk – Donetsk highway in the vicinity of their enterprise. This was reported by head of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine Mykhailo Volynets on his Facebook.
"The miners of the Kotliarevska mine continue their protest on the Donetsk – Dnipro highway. The miners are ready to use other forms of protest, if the Ministry of Energy and Coal Mining and central authorities do not take measures for redemption of arrears in wages to miners of the state-owned mines", - he wrote.
Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Mining of Ukraine Anatoliy Korzun reported on Friday that wage arrears to employees of state-owned coal enterprises reached $16.7 million.
