“The enemy carried out an airstrike with KAB bombs on the Kovpakivskyi and Zarichnyi districts of Sumy. Hits were recorded at two locations in the city: an industrial zone and private-sector homes were affected”, - Head of the Sumy City Military Administration Serhii Kryvosheienko reported on September 16.
Five wounded people are preliminarily known. Information about their condition is being clarified. Fires caused by the strike are being brought under control. Details about the consequences of the airstrike will be updated.
“At this point, six people are known to have been affected by the KAB airstrike on Sumy. Among those affected in the private sector is a 14-year-old child, who received medical assistance at the scene, as did two women aged 69 and 76. A 67-year-old man is undergoing an examination. Two other people affected in the industrial zone — men aged 50 and 60 — are undergoing examinations in a hospital”, - Kryvosheienko later reported.
