Foreign components obtained despite sanctions are still being used for the production of missiles with which russia attacks Ukraine. Ukraine is preparing new steps to increase sanctions pressure on the aggressor. This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the president, specialists are currently determining in detail exactly which types of missiles and drones the enemy used during the latest attack.
According to preliminary data, the russians struck the residential building in Kyiv with an Kh-101 missile.
Experts established that this missile was manufactured in the second quarter of this year. This indicates that russia continues to import resources and equipment for its military-industrial complex despite global sanctions.
Zelensky emphasized that stopping sanctions evasion schemes must become a priority goal for all of Ukraine’s international partners.
“We are preparing steps that can intensify our common counteraction: sanctions must become more painful for russia”, - the head of state stressed.
As reported, 24 are known to have been killed in Kyiv due to the attack on May 14. May 15 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv.
