Volodymyr Lohinov, a rescuer from Kharkiv, is seen crying at the site of his father's death, with whom he worked as a colleague. Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko posted this video on Telegram on April 4.
"Kharkiv. These scenes are impossible to watch with a cold heart. A young firefighter is crying at the scene of the strike where russia cynically killed his father - a 52-year-old rescuer - just minutes before", - Klymenko's message said.
It is noted that the deceased, Vladyslav Lohinov, dedicated his life to work in the fire service. His son, Volodymyr, followed in his father's footsteps and became a firefighter, serving as the head of a unit in a neighboring fire station.
"On this hellish night, immediately after the first explosions, the father and son, along with their colleagues, rushed to the site of the strike", - Klymenko writes.
Vladyslav and Volodymyr worked side by side, literally just a few houses away from each other. When a powerful explosion rang out, the son immediately realized that it likely hit where his father was.
"It's hard to imagine the emotions the man experienced when he saw his father's bloodied body. A great tragedy for family, colleagues, and friends", - the Minister of Internal Affairs noted.
Earlier reports stated that russians killed four more residents of Kharkiv with Shahed drone attacks, including three rescuers who were clearing the aftermath of the shelling.
