The President of the French National Assembly, Mrs. Yaël Braun-Pivet, has arrived in Ukraine.
"On March 28, 2024, the President of the French National Assembly, Mrs. Braun-Pivet, will visit Ukraine to demonstrate France's resolute and unwavering support for Ukraine", - the French government's press release stated.
Later, Mrs. Yaël Braun-Pivet herself announced on social media platform X that she had arrived in Kyiv: "Happy to arrive in Ukraine to reaffirm the support of the French National Assembly for the Ukrainian people".
She thanked the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, and Ukrainian diplomats for the warm welcome.
It is noted that a press conference on the topic "France's Support for Ukraine" with the participation of Mrs. Yaël Braun-Pivet will be held in the Crisis Media Center in Kyiv on Friday, March 29, at 18:30.
As reported, France is halting the export of weapons to other countries in order to redirect them to Ukraine.
