The occupying authorities of the "LNR" have adopted a "law" that defines the mechanism for confiscating other people's housing and transferring it "into state ownership". Local media report this.

"The law" specifies how so-called "ownerless" real estate located in the occupied territory of the Luhansk oblast will be identified.

"The law regulates the transfer into state ownership of apartments that have been abandoned since 2014... We are talking about apartments of those people who left the territory of the LNR and do not intend to return here", - said one of the "deputies" of the fake "LNR parliament".

He clarified that this applies not only to apartments in apartment buildings but also to abandoned private houses.

A "special authorized body" will search for "ownerless" houses and apartments. The "law" allows ordinary citizens to report the absence of rightful owners.

The "deputy" acknowledged that "requests for the conversion of abandoned housing into state ownership have existed among the population of the LNR for many years... Residents asked for these apartments to be given to the state and provided, for example, to young families in need".

As reported earlier, a similar "law" came into force on March 21 in the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast.
